We are all aware of the plight of the homeowner when it comes to carrying out building works. The construction process at best can appear daunting and at worst, completely overwhelming. QMA are able to provide a variety of services at all levels to remove this pressure and uncertainty.

Rarely are homeowners aware of the legal obligations owed to them by the designers and the building contractor. These obligations exist to protect them (the homeowner). If we are involved at an early stage we are able to offer advice on the following matters:

• comment on the design and specification

• overall timeframes for the whole process from start to finish

• basic guidance on planning

• selecting a building contractor

• acting on your behalf to manage the construction phase of the work
